If you are a phone reviewer, you would have to swap it frequently. For the average person, maybe if they have two devices, one each for work and personal, with just a single line. Not very common tho.

They made more sense before the internet, when the transfer of information was not nearly as easy. With that being said, there is not much reason for them to exist anymore.

Wow. Can’t wait to get my $2!

RIP Pumpkin. That guy was just too cute.

I wonder if DDR prices are a factor. They might lose too much with the lower proved model compared to the OLED models.

If you really don’t want a immutable distro, you could use Nobara. It’s based on Fedora and lets you install/remove packages as needed. It is optimized for gaming and has a Steam Deck version available.
That being said, I think Bazzite would be a better option. It is immutable like SteamOS, but it also bundles a bunch of other options like Flatpak, Homebrew, and Distrobox.

I don’t disagree. The way I use discord and they way it works best is for small communities, like my guild where we can use it as a cross-game communication.
It really does suck for things like reference information and asking questions. Not only because it isn’t publicly available, but just because finding that information within the platform itself is difficult.
I find it very frustrating that Nobara Linux uses Discord for support. I’m sure I could have used an answer that someone else asked previously, that is really difficult to find.

I’m not endorsing Discord. All I was saying is that it is better to have a Linux client available for those who want to use it than not. To encourage the widest switch to Linux, commonly used software must be available on the platform.

No client would be much worse than a client lacking feature parity. There are alternative Discord clients like Vesktop if you don’t like the official one.
The click bait title is the issue. What are “we” talking about? Who is the person that posted the video. The only context we get is a screenshot from what looks like Celeste.

Feels like it’s usually Mint or something niche.

I wonder if Apple will lock it down further. If they did, it could cause some backlash from users of older devices that are no longer receiving updates.
That being said, there is already an open source option that is completely cross-platform in LocalSend.

I wouldn’t be opposed. New community name could be SteamHardware. They share an OS and ecosystem and people interested in one would likely be interested in the others.

Would these exploits work even if you had the USB port set to charging only?

100C is boiling. Would still kill humans because of overheating, possibly burns as well.

I think it will more likely happen if windows kicks games out of kernel space.

The largest item keeping me from swapping to COSMIC is the lack of HDR support. They stated it would be implemented before or at the 1.0 release. Has that already completed?

I think Cosmic will be the best compromise once it finally releases. Having the ability to swap between tiling and floating quickly and per workspace gives you the best of both worlds.

Maybe they like the project because it means more Google phones sold.
The hardware is stronger than the Quest 3, so it should be able to run the same titles. It does lose out a bit because of all of the translation layers tho.
