Do you use that regularly? How cool! Or is it autocorrect?

LEGO Island nostalgia…

You can play Portal split screen, or do you mean that they collaborate on the solutions?
Also, my husband and I love playing Overcooked. That’s an excellent suggestion.

My cat used to follow us up the road into the woods all the time… until we got a dog. I didn’t realize it would go down that way, but even to me it felt like a huge betrayal.
I saw a perfect stranger having a lengthy conversation with my cat the other day. Though, the stranger spoke English: things like, “Stop yelling at me!” Which was appropriate.
No, that’s the odd charm of the comment. They just don’t like his acting 😂
Yes, I spent years breaking the screen of this phone and eventually replacing it. I’ve finally got a screen protector and it’s been great… But the screen will almost certainly crack when you remove it. Bummer about the extra cost.
My phone still has an aux jack : humble brag:
It’s a pixel 3a from at least 6 years ago :opposite of a humble brag:
…I actually love the shape and function of this phone. I only wish it had security updates, and didn’t have Google.
Weirdly, the window looks like can be opened. Why would anyone spec an operable window in this location?
It’s nonsense and thus must lead to Narnia or Wonderland.
I wish. We had a weird schedule at work the other day and I left the house after sunrise… Golly, I know it’s February but I swear I could hear the birds and see godly sunshine the whole drive. “Is this what empowerment feels like?” I thought.
Take a photo of any room in your house. Not to post on the Internet, just to look at with fresh eyes. You will almost certainly see a bunch of useless clutter.
A casualty while trying to survive the open road, killed by animals. My soul has left my shell.

Hahaha yes, thanks!

Love your local library. The Lemmy app is a good way to access content.
Also pirating… I live in the southern US, where they keep underfunding my library.
The pillow… Sleep is my nemesis.
Unless the blanket does away with menopausal hot flashes. I’m not near that age, but I dread them still.
It’s organized so that more powerful operations get precedence, which seems natural.
Set aside intentionally confusing expressions. The basic idea of the Order of Operations holds water even without ever formally learning the rules.
If an addition result comes first and gets exponentiated, the changes from the addition are exaggerated. It makes addition more powerful than it should be. The big stuff should happen first, then the more granular operations. Of course, there are specific cases where we need to reorder, or add clarity, which is why human decisions about groupings are at the top.

I still have a 3a, and the battery is definitely losing it. Have you thought about replacing the battery in yours? I’d love to hear your considerations.
Oh gosh, I just think regional variation in language is really cool, and while I’ve heard ‘God forbid’ a lot in my life, I’ve never heard the phrase OP used. Turns out it was auto-correct, which I half-suspected, but I would have loved to have known where that had come from. If you’re interested in this kind of thing, I highly recommend the talk show “A Way with Words.” The hosts get really nerdily excited about just these kinds of phrases, so given that I listened to that program regularly, I’m kind of on the lookout.
Is this also because I’m an atheist living in the South? Possibly. ‘God forgot’ shows some lack of divine omnipotence, which I find kind of exciting.
