The little to no marketing is also really hurting them. I didn’t even know until well after it was out that Returnal was even getting a PC release - the first I heard of it was news of its disappointing sales. Same with Ratchet and Clank - first I heard they weren’t sure how they’d port it because of memory demands, then this now about the low number of players. Like. If no one knows it’s coming out (or even has come out until there’s bad press), no one’s gonna buy your game.
Usually every night when I go to bed. Sometimes I need to charge it during the day because the battery is dying.
Final Fantasy 7, for some ridiculous reason. I’ve stared it so many times, then get distracted and stop, planning to come back, and then I forget.
Some some recent ones are Control and Pentiment. I got into both, then got distracted with other games and never got back to them.
I’m not really surprised by this. It took so long for the PS5 to actually be available over here (it still can be hard to find some of them - the electronics store near me has base PS5s available, but the cheaper digital only one has been sold out for months) that people started getting PCs.
Sony wanted to focus on the western market, and now, well, a good chunk of the Jp market they took for granted is responding by getting PCs.
It seems like instead of making 1000 procedurally generated planets, they should have made maybe 10 handcrafted planets you could traverse and find things tucked away to do.
