Its not cos google pay needs to much access its cos google pay needs a special certificate to sign the operating system. The Google android devs love GrapheneOS as they push lots of security patches and bug fixes so they tried to get GrapheneOS signed. Google then ignored GrapheneOS and their own android devs and refuses to sign GrapheneOS. Its purely because google are assholes who don’t want it to work on GrapheneOS.

Well I run GrapheneOS so its not a problem I deal with myself.

I’ve done some research and it seems that a bunch of new settings and permission options have been introduced in android 14 (looks like a bunch of GrapheneOS features have been merged). I assume when they implemented this it overwrote a bunch of shit. It seems like this is the cause of changed settings. U will also be running a Samsung fork and its known they like to change ur privacy options on update so give those a check.

I run GrapheneOS its a 3rd party degoogled ROM with lots of great security features. Its also incredibly entertaining every time google or apole comes out with a new security update or patch to a critical security issue and the GrapheneOS devs go yeah we did that 2years ago.

Yeah their has been a lot of work on foss drivers for nvidias new GPUs. I believe because servers run Linux and servers need to do ai now and a foss driver enabling that would be mutually beneficial for all people in the industry similar to how Linux could never have become so dominant and universal in the server space if it was some special proprietary thing.
