On cards view, there is settings for “partial slide” where it goes from up vote, then down vote, and then hide post with full slide if that makes sense depending on how far I swipe.
Not sure about the layout you’re using, but with cards layout there are swipe gestures to up vote/down vote without opening the posts.
Seems like a trash meme article just to say “killed by Google again!” when it’s just some test app lmao
As a first release this is so much more fully featured than anything I expected!! So impressive thanks @[email protected].
Imo I feel like given the size of the community there is too much segregation. All these android related topics should all just be in /c/android until we reach a critical mass that more organization is required. No one will bother to subscribe to all of those with 0 engagement… And plz don’t delete posts we are so small here! As long as it isn’t spam I’m ok with questions etc. here. The rules shouldn’t be the same as reddit as the community isn’t the same (at least not yet).
Good to know, thanks! I wasn’t aware passwords on chrome are not encrypted.
I’ll have to take a look into cost of 1password and Bitwarden, and see if any of them have password import features from Chrome to make the switch easy
I use Chrome password manager. Is there any difference to this vs. Bitwarden or other services? Chrome is super convenient since it suggests passwords in browser while signing up and auto-inputs them to apps/websites cross platform. And also integrates with GBoard to quickly search password to copy into a field.
Not sure if Bitwarden has any additional features other than the benefit of not keeping all my info with Google. Or if it’s less convenient and I have to go into the Bitwarden app or something everytime to look up or generate passwords?
FWIIW Kbin can access Mastodon content, but am I right that it’s not true the other way around? (And Mastodon does not federate with Lemmy or Kbin?). I never got into Twitter, maybe I should give Mastodon a try though although I still have no idea what I’d use it for. Curious what folks here follow on Mastodon that they couldn’t find elsewhere?
Interesting, I had no idea 3P clients for Spotify was possible. I dig the UI. Will this still give me all my Spotify playlists (incl. Recommended ones from Spotify like daily mix etc)?
I’m a fan, especially the eyes got more personality to it
This is one of the homescreens of all time
Google should just make a web app for Messages and integrate meet for video calls. Leave Chat as a enterprise thing/Slack competitor and focus on Messages as the family + friends app.
I use meet for video chats with friends but it’s so annoying having to always create a room and then send the invite link.
I’ve also been pretty satisfied with wefwef for the most part, although posts fail to load sometimes and I see random errors (not sure if this is on wefwef or Lemmy.world).
The UI, features, and infinite scrolling is great, hoping they can provide a material theme soon rather than iOS but I’m getting used to it tbh.
I like the design but definitely the lights still seem like huge gimmick. I don’t see the value of getting this over other midrange options like the pixel 7a
Goodnight my sweet prince
Oops, pesky autocorrect. This also has infinite scrolling which I didn’t even realize at first and what made the Lemmy feel so clunky on mobile before - that is definitely the biggest thing that makes this my favorite now.
I am using webweb.app which is a PWA Apollo clone. Its a bit weird cause the UI is iOS based, but it’s by far the smoothest and full featured all I tried so far!
Scrolling is like butter, I can customize text size, and from comment reply notifications it actually directly opens the thread to the comment, and also highlights the comment which i love! Is liftoff and thunder similarly full featured?
just signed up, yesss!!!
While options like Fairphone exist, the most sustainable phone is to just use your current one longer - with the state of smartphones nowadays they really shouldn’t have much of a problem lasting 4-5 years. The next sustainable thing is to buy used for an upgrade :)
Nice!! Ive been using Sync for 10+ years and realized almost always whatever feature I wish was there had an existing setting already 😁
