to be fair pre fo3 bethesda and post fo3 bethesda are two different companies. Fallout started with 3 and elder scrolls started with 5.

I have both and I don’t really care about the oled vs lcd display quality. Both give a picture that is way way way more than enough to play any game on it. OLED screen just is a tiny bit bigger which helps and oled model has a better charger with longer cable.

Linux is an easier install than windows nowardays.

Ifixit seems to be exception to the rule that states anything popular brand for people who are not in the field is actually garbage.

Its easy, you just have to not be stupid and do stupid things.

Tdp and fps does a lot to save battery life. It saveshours on some games by not wasting resources running them faster than they need to be.

No plugins, just adjust max tdp and fps limit. I haven’t felt the need for any plugins save for protontricks for old and obscure games.

Id rather disable secureboot and copy paste a command in terminal than mess around with regedit tbf

I honestly cannot remember the last time I had trouble running anything on Windows. Probably around early Windows 7? It’s been years.

I have the feeling you don’t play much non-popular games.

Ive had less issues getting gamws to run on linux than windows. Mh world runs without bsod and has better performance on linux, older games are easier to run since proton handles that while on windows theres tons of tweaking involved if it runs at all on 11 etc.

Not to mention all the drivers for tablet not needing to be manually started on linux every time I want to use it, my discord no longer has missing audio or audio input issues that I had on windows and almost everyone else still does etc. Flight sims and vr are the only two things I miss.

I had no issue getting to run gr wildlands on lutris but even the 3 step setup was not worth it for how shit the game was.

I tried but i gave up cause I found the hype about halo is about pmuch nothing.

I have LED and OLED decks and honestly OLED is very very minor improvements that do not matter.

If you play latest AAA games and latest AAA games only, ally. Youre gonna love the rgb when you play the latest fifa and ubisoft copy paste on minimum.

If you play whatever great stuff that’s been released these past 3 decades, whichever is cheaper and has the features you want. Personally I find the touchpads just insanely useful.

If you can’t afford SD after the tarrifs, you can’t afford it now. But if you want it anyway and are financially secure and not living in US, I’d say go for it.

As a dev while steams cut is large and id like to see it go down, you do get a lot for it.
