Speaking of other cats, I believe part of my homeboi’s eventual demise was the introduction (I was adopted) of a new cat. Talk about stressful for all parties involved.

Yes, if she continues to display unusual behavior (especially while pressing top of head to ground, nose down) check her out, or take her to the vet for a checkup.

I had a very old cat of whom I loved much display symptoms similar to this, I took him to the vet and it was pancreatic cancer. Within weeks of diagnosis, he was in too much pain to do anything other than be euthanized. It was terrible, especially as I chose to have him on my lap during the process (which I do not regret, but it fucked me up). His behavior had been odd for a while before I took him in. Odd behavior means a lot with older cats. I wish I could’ve eased his pain or at least have known he was going. Don’t let that happen, if you love the animal; you don’t want to wonder if you could’ve done more.

They prefer to eat things with faces, do not allow your thumbs to make you feel superior.

That is what they want you to feel. If we think we are in charge, they don’t even have to try.

Don’t let that cat get this design to the collective… once they realize our laps are no longer needed to recharge; we are useless to them.

I’d say more than a noticeable spike has already occurred. It’s trending with popular Youtube Streamers & although I have had very little interaction with Linux subreddits or Lemmy instances; the algo feeds me Linux posts constantly. Admittedly, I do enjoy the tech savvy & intelligent. So I guess the algorithm is working, in this case.
