I mean, I wouldn’t, because he’s way out of my league, and probably straight, and most likely he’s busy right now, or waiting on someone, and the music in here is really loud, so he probably wouldn’t be able to hear me well enough to chat because I’m soft spoken…

Dharma Curious@startrek.websiteto Android@lemdro.id•Lawnchair - Android Launcher has early access release on play store.English8·8 months agoI thought so! When I saw this my first thought was “wait, isn’t that the one I used to use several years ago?”
Yeah, it is. Ended up not being compatible on a new phone is why I switched, I think…forgot about it after.
If you claim you have a religious for needing them back (reunification being pretty common, as in, you need them so you can be buried with them) then they will run their tests, and give them back to you if they’re not a hazard.
My brother used this to keep his gallbladder, and a friend of a friend kept her foot after diabetes took it. Both examples in Tennessee. I don’t know if it matters which state you’re in, but I’m positive the country would probably make a difference.
Plus, I think it’s funny the idea of some medical person somewhere trying to square their incredibly narrow view of religion with a trans woman being so devout in their own faith as to be concerned about burial practices potentially decades in the future, given the stereotype that everyone LGBTQ+ is an evil atheist.

Something in my ape brain just immediately trusts anyone who uses the phrase “of this one, I am certain.” So no, you don’t sound like a prick, you sound like a scholar, and I am inclined to request that you make several of my financial decisions for me.
Does anyone know if this is something that was actually possible? Like, how sure are we they looked one way and not the other?
It’s so wild the wrong ideas that float around about cops and medical personnel. “If you’re a cop you have to tell me” and “if I tell them I did drugs they have to tell the cops”
I really do tell all the interesting people in my life “tell cops nothing, medics everything” and it’s saved a few butts. My mom is the one who initially told me that. She doesn’t necessarily approve of drug use, but made it clear to us growing up that if we ever did something and had to go to the doctor, we needed to tell them everything, and they would always keep our secret, but always lie about it to the cops if they were involved. I love my mom. Lol. She’s awesome.
I’ve had some… Interesting friends in my life, and my advice to all of them has been: tell the police nothing, and the medics everything
Dharma Curious@startrek.websiteto Android@lemmy.world•Google Podcasts to shut down in 2024English14·2 years agoNot who you asked, but I use podbean and have recently started using antennapod. Both are really good, but antennapod is open source from what I understand, and I’ve been able to find more podcasts on it. Only gripes with it are that you can’t rate the podcasts on it, and you can’t set it play all episodes of a certain podcast automatically. You have to add them to a queue manually and play from the queue. Other than that it’s absolutely fantastic.
Are there fan theories that Zelda and Link are trans? I need to catch up on my fan theories! Haha.
What is t4t in this context?
Dharma Curious@startrek.websiteto Android@lemdro.id•Google's increasingly prickly Android perception problemEnglish16·2 years agoI used high end android for a long time. The note series, mainly. When I had to step away from that, I switched to LG. I fucking loved LG. They were awesome. Half the price, and damn good.
Since they’ve stopped, I’ve had the pixel 6, and an A53. The pixel 6 was glitchy AF, and Google won’t allow HDMI over USB, which is a major use case for me, and the A53 just sort of sucks.
I miss high end android. :( but I won’t switch to iOS. I hate how locked down it is, and I’ve never liked the feel of the OS. I’m considering the pixel again, but no HDMI is really fucking with me. :(
Dharma Curious@startrek.websiteto Android@lemmy.world•Making the 2023 [email protected] Buying Guide: MidrangeEnglish3·2 years agoHmm. That’s weird. Me, my mom and my dad all have the same phone. I try to keep them on whatever I’m on to make trouble shooting over the phone easier when they call me with problems. Both of them report laggyness, too.
Eta
I should clarify, until recently, I’ve been used to higher end phones. The note series and whatever flagship LG was rocking when I was off the notes. Maybe I’m just spoiled?
Dharma Curious@startrek.websiteto Android@lemmy.world•Making the 2023 [email protected] Buying Guide: MidrangeEnglish5·2 years agoIt’s been a while since I had the phone, but iirc it would drop wifi constantly, Bluetooth would occasionally and randomly cause the phone to seize up and you had to do a hard reset, you could only have a Bluetooth device connected to it alone, if the device was also connected to something else no audio would play from either device (I think that had a work arojnd in dev option, but i dont recall what it was), the screen would go unresponsive if you had youtube playing in background mode, and a handful of other things.
Most of them were worth it just for the Hold For Me feature, though. Lol. God I miss that.
Dharma Curious@startrek.websiteto Android@lemmy.world•How does everyone feel about iPhones?English2·2 years agoJust scoured the mastodon, and haven’t really seen anything. It sounds like a huge undertaking, so I’m guessing it’s probably delayed? The dev seems like a good guy, though!
Dharma Curious@startrek.websiteto Android@lemmy.world•Making the 2023 [email protected] Buying Guide: MidrangeEnglish3·2 years agoI switched from a pixel 6 to an A53. I lease my phones through T-Mobile with jump on demand, so I can switch pretty often if I want to (I hate doing it. I like finding a decent phone and sticking to it), and I’m thinking about switching again. The A53 is super laggy, and it crashes frequently, as well as a weird thing with WiFi becoming super slow unless I restart
Any idea if the 54 is better? I’d like to stick to Samsung if possible, because I have a Samsung tablet and they work well together. I really miss LG. :(
Dharma Curious@startrek.websiteto Android@lemmy.world•Making the 2023 [email protected] Buying Guide: MidrangeEnglish4·2 years agoI had the pixel 6. Is the 7/7a less glitchy? There were constant weird issues with the 6. Which, tbh, I could mostly get past. The reason I swapped out was because of lack of HDMI support. I can’t always use Chromecast, and I like being able to mirror my screen to a monitor I have on my sewing table.
Oh, well then I wouldn’t approach him for a whole new variety of reasons!
