The person you reply too seems a bit aggressive, but maybe a rule like “Any move of this community will be submitted to a vote of the community members” could help

FYI, you might want to use a local account to mod: https://lemmy.sdf.org/post/28316151
Good luck!
I feel like in this case, it’s more like one is Netflix, the two others are Peacock and Paramount Plus
Probably let this thread run for a few days, and then create a poll thread with all the suggestions
there’s plenty to rag on them about here without including this issue.
Oh, definitely. But to nuance what I said above, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back: how can you literally say “it’s fine, I don’t need a local account so that I can actually mod here, and anyway it wasn’t my fault because Blahaj never gave me one!” Like, seriously? And the issue here was the tone used to talk to the community.
Valid point, but it doesn’t seem like they want to let go. They were probably thinking that they could force people to LW by keeping the Blahaj community locked, but now that everyone moved here, it’s indeed a bit ridiculous.
That would be hilarious ha ha
The whole thing was a mess, it’s crazy 😄
Feeling sorry for @[email protected] who wrote a long post with all the issues but never got any answer
My frustration with 196 is that having their reports hang around for a couple of days was a semi regular thing, which made admining more difficult, because there were always active reports in my notifications that I couldn’t close. I asked for them to put on blahaj based mods, or spin up blahaj alts, which they did, and that improved things, but because they were alts and the majority of the mods were still remote, the problem never entirely went away
That’s what I based myself upon. Obviously, she doesn’t give metrics, but still seems like the alt issue was communicated and should really have been addressed or even just acknowledged at some point.
but if you called them a name
The post was called “Delusional mod rule”, not sure if that qualifies as a name in this case
It’s wild out there 😅
It’s quite reassuring about Lemmy and federation in general. Power tripping mods? Just move elsewhere in a few hours!
No kink shaming!
Well done!
That’s fair.
I was just being really frustrated with that mod not having a local account, and not being recognizing that was an issue. That’s basic knowledge that every mod has that you won’t get the reports from a non-local account.
When you go through this comment from Ada, it’s even more blatant that Ada had to do the heavy lifting on the moderation: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/20976989/12493554
People are allowed to make mistakes, to be clueless. But trying to throw Ada and Blahaj under the bus because they didn’t just cared enough to create a post on Blahaj meta community just seemed weird to me.
Don’t you see the community icons? That’s how I distinguish them
