I don’t think you can even buy a new car without a screen for the driver. Android Auto and Apple carplay do not run visually on your phone screen, they are a connection to a compatible built in screen or a stand alone for older cars that don’t have them. Android Auto only allows certified apps to run on the second screen, like Maps or music subs.

I have the G Stylus 2024 and it has been a great phone. Moto’s update policy is the main hindrance, with screen brightness a close second. It looks like the screen is better in the new one and twice as bright. I bet the battery life will fall a bit, especially at peak. The update thing does not concern me much in this price range, as I change phones about every 1.5 years, sometimes yearly.
