This little kitten is Jack. This photo was taken by my sister-in-law. He is a rescue - his back story is that my sister-in-law was driving on the highway, and she saw this little furry fluffball waddling in the middle of the road. She swerved to avoid him, and stopped the car immediately. She rushed out onto the highway, waving her arms to warn other drivers, and brought him into her car.

He had a broken leg, and was treated at the veterinarian for that and other potential infections. He is doing well now, and she got to bring him home.

We don’t know how he ended up on the highway. We believe that he is several weeks old. We suspect that he was on a farm, and had climbed into the undercarriage of a vehicle to stay warm, and fell out while it was driving that way. There were no other kittens in the area (the area was searched), and it’s doubtful that he was abandoned. No matter the case, this story has a happy ending!

He is an absolute nut job, and he’s taking full advantage of his new lease on life! Definitely a wild child, but certainly very friendly!
