- It all makes sense why Google was pivoting to a lifestyle brand in its keynote… they will never make it with the performance-forward demographic with current trends, so they have to attract other buyers. I really hope this is the worst year for the pixel line, because it is just flatly unacceptable what they’re pushing performance wise. - Especially at the price offered. On the better news I guess previous years lines will drop the price a bit. - Yeah somehow got a Pixel 9 Pro fold for 600 bucks, one year old, still no clue why it was so cheap, nothing is wrong with it.
- Even in the used market, you’d be foolish to not buy a used s24 or OP12 - Only if performance is more important to you than privacy - Privacy online is no more than an illusion with modern computing. - You should put an IP camera in your rest room then, edgelord

- Honestly, at this point, I’m trying to decide if I even want to keep up with the Pixel GrapheneOS combo, or just switch to an iPhone. Feels like I get boned either way.
- I figured the PowerVR GPU would be trashy. Even if the design is good, the drivers were certainly going to suck. Google is a budget hardware vendor selling for premium prices. I think I saw some reports where the chips pretty trashy compared to the competition even of CPU constrained tasks - Tensor 5 benchmarks at around what the S21 scores.
