Very happy about since I won’t have wifi for around a month.
yt-dlp
It supports YouTube playlists also, so you can just give it a massive playlist and let it go
Similar: https://github.com/alexta69/metube
MeTube works on most streaming sites. Very simple setup and UI.
Stock up while you can! Try to download some longer series and then when you’re off wifi break them up into an episode a day or so, so that there’s always something new to look forward to, in the same way you’d have new content on youtube each day.

wow, thank you

Which downloader do you prefer?
Not OP, but I love yt-dlp.
Yeah I’d recommend that anyway since I think youtube-dl is deprecated. (Or is it not deprecated, just superceded by yt-dlp. I can’t rightly remember.)
Correct, youtube-dl is outdated and unmaintained
I’ll check it out, thank you!
can recommend yt-dl to download stuff from YouTube https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl
youtube-dl is outdated and unmaintained, yt-dlp is the currently maintained fork and should work much better
cheers mate!
I use newpipe already so it’s a quick download of video or audio file from newpipe itself as I’m looking through subscription.
NewPipe is great for mobile. It has a good user experience even for streaming videos; the download is also super easy to use. One of my favorite apps on my phone for sure.
my preference was always throwing the url into VLC and finding where the actual file was to download.
I assume this is what downloaders are doing behind the scenes anyway
Whenever I do this I never watch them for some reason
