  • Slightly off topic, but it just dawned on me that the youngest generation might not have as universal of a childhood compared to some before.

Like, everyone in school knew what SpongeBob was. Maybe you didn’t have a TV or you didn’t like watching it, but you knew the characters and the general gist of what happens in the show.

With kids on such giant platforms like YouTube, there’s so much variety, I wonder if the “brand recognition” will be as strong in 10 years.

  • The same way sending them the show will help. If your show is that big they can just look it up reviews or clips on YouTube or whatever. I don’t think employers want to watch an entire season of someone’s work to decide to hire them, but if it’s a recognizable show like some of the ones pictured they may not even have to look it up

  • Others have already given you good answers so I’ll weigh in on the emunand / not getting banned thing.

I spent a long time trying to get the emunand set up and working on my switch but kept hitting some sort of error (it was almost a year ago so I don’t remember specifically what the issue was). After a while of trying I realized that I was trying to avoid getting banned from an online service I never once used and never planned to use, and now I just use the switch in airplane mode. I’ve read that the system keeps a log of what’s been done and will upload it to Nintendo if it ever reconnects, at which point I very well may be banned, but I don’t really care enough. Being in airplane mode makes sure the switch can’t try to auto update itself as well.
