i’m not polish, but it kinda seems like nazi shit is on the rise fucking everywhere. capitalism is eating itself, and people are uneasy. it seems that, when they’ve been trained their whole life to let authorities do their thinking for them, in times of uncertainty, a lot of people will want to support a loud blustering “strongman” who will tell them exactly which outgroup is responsible for all their woes. even if they know deep down it’s all bullshit, at least they don’t need to face their actual problems, which are difficult and complex and nuanced, and would probably require personal sacrifice to actually solve.

that’s the wackest shit i’ve seen all week.
it’d be a side loading washing machine. can’t put it next to the dryer because you wouldn’t be able to access the door.
on Tumblr, there’s a “ask a question” feature, where anyone can send a message, and you can publish their message with a response. until you do decide to respond, these messages live in your ‘ask box’
then there’s two mes which immediately start to diverge into different people due to their different experiences, and the one left behind eventually joins the Maquis.

3·30 days agoi’ve never had any problems with em.
it’s basically the one piece of software i actually miss from when i used windows.
it definitely works for planes and spheres. my intuition says it wouldn’t work on all surfaces though, and in particular would probably break down around saddle points.

2·1 month agocurrently, my longest running one started last december. i don’t remember if any others have taken longer than that for me.
not sure which part is confusing you, but i’d be happy to explain.
- trans-inclusive radical misogyny would be a tongue in cheek term made up for our guys particular unusual views around gender. he clearly hates women, and doesn’t trust them in any positions of authority, but this misogyny extends equally to trans women rather than trans men. usually, these days, this kind of misogyny would be paired with a hatred, fear, and denial of the identities of trans people.
- blursed is a portmanteau of “blessed” and “cursed”. it is essentially a way of saying something has both good and bad elements, usually ones which contrast in a surprising way.
- terf is an acronym that stands for “trans exclusive radical feminism”, it is essentially a group of people who make a huge deal out of policing others gender identity and expression, especially those of trans women, under the pretense of caring about women. they have some roots in the ‘radical feminism’ of decades ago, but nowadays align much more strongly with the religious right, as hating trans people is their sole or primary political interest.
generally, they’re more like small chicken tenders. that is, they’re whole chunks of breast meat, rather than ground chicken molded into a particular shape.
if you don’t like puzzles, i highly do not recommend any of the resident evil games to you. almost all of them are pretty puzzle heavy.
a lot of people seem to be assuming solitary confinement, but nothing in the prompt actually indicates you can’t have visitors. furthermore, you might have a lightswitch. being able to turn the lights off to sleep and chat with visitors might significantly slow your descent into madness. (though anyone would probably still be pretty fucked up after a year).
the square-cube law refers to how if a thing gets uniformly scaled, its surface area scales by the square of the factor, but its volume scales by the cube. if you grew a human, say, to 10 times its normal height, the cross sectional area of their long bones would increase by a factor of 100, while their weight would increase by a factor of 1000. this is a thing that crops up all over discussions about fantastic architecture, engineering, and biology.

i ain’t a professional psych person of any stripe, and personally don’t put much stock in the concept of laziness, but if his “laziness” is hurting his relationships, and costing him jobs, well, that definitely sounds like something a psych would want to address.
