Yep. They need an actual comms professional. I love GOS and am forever grateful to the team but having a bunch of non-nuero-typical devs speaking for them is not doing them any favours.

An example is that it says “to fund full-time development”, and you’ve assumed thats a “full-time developer.”

What are we talking here - is it a salary for someone? Overheads? Marketing? Hosting etc? What will donations give us? Is there a roadmap? If anything, the store needs more apps. A slick new frontend is pretty far down my list of wants.

And before you come back with another spikey comment remember that I’m saying this as a fan of Acrescent. I’m not suggesting there’s anything nefarious going on. If they are were asking VC’s for cash this is the information they’d be expected to provide.
