I hope so. I’m waiting to hear back about my surgery still.

The 10 hour long white hot intense stomach pain episodes are an absolute nightmare. I’m genuinely scared to eat in case it triggers it :-(

Just remember, the 309 million people who are killed each year by tummy aches aren’t here to meme. Get vaccinated people.

My worst tummy ache was on election Tuesday, November, 1996.

At the ER my high white cell count indicated appendicitis. My appendix exploded during the removal surgery.

I spent the next two weeks on an absurd quantity of antibiotics not knowing I had a 40% survival prognosis.

I survived but I am so on borrowed time.

Oh it was more than a tummyache, friend. It was flowing out both ends. I couldn’t keep any water down. I had to go to the ER to get rehydrated. I am going to get a massive bill for my little eight hour stay that will start the book of horrors that is 2024.

Even now I dread going into the bathroom for I know cleaning up the emesis and faeces that I ejected is going to be a herculean task. I live in fear of eating because i’m literally afraid it will begin again. I thought was gonna die this weekend. So here I am, sipping tomato soup with croutons and drinking pedialyte hoping my PTO request will be honored because I don’t feel so great.

And this all played out THIS WEEKEND.
